Holidays

CFTS.CO (U) Ltd. recognises the religious and ethnic diversity of our staff. We, therefore, offer employees the right to take, with prior notice, religious holidays as unpaid leave, if necessary.

National Holidays Muslim festivals are timed according to local sightings of various phases of the moon and the dates given below are approximations.

During the lunar month of Ramadan that precedes Eid al-Fitr, Muslims fast during the day and feast at night and normal business patterns may be interrupted. Many restaurants are closed during the day and there may be restrictions on smoking and drinking.

Some disruption may continue into Eid al-Fitr itself. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha may last anything from two to 10 days, depending on the region.

CFTS.CO (U) Ltd Holidays Typically, CFTS.CO (U) Ltd closes for Christmas from the 19th December to the first Monday of the New Year.

Because Christmas holiday is quite long (just over 2 weeks) and breaks before the end of month, payments will be processed as close to the start of the holiday period as practical to avoid delays in payments. Any bonuses that are due will be paid last Friday of the month or earliest possible date thereafter as per norm.
